Terms of Service
Last updated: April 5, 2026
Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use ASL-Chat. By accessing the platform, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. Misrepresenting your age is a violation of these terms and grounds for permanent ban.
User Conduct
ASL-Chat is a platform for open conversation. While we do not actively moderate most content, the following are prohibited:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content sexualizing minors
- Credible threats of violence against specific individuals
- Threats of political violence or terrorism
- Sharing of URLs or external links (automatically blocked)
Content Responsibility
Users are solely responsible for the content of their messages. ASL-Chat does not monitor, review, or endorse user-generated content. Automated filters block content that may violate federal law. All other moderation is handled through user block buttons and room creator controls.
AI Bots
ASL-Chat features AI-powered bot companions in featured rooms. All bots are clearly labeled as artificial intelligence. Bot responses are generated automatically and do not represent the views or opinions of ASL-Chat.
User-Created Rooms
Users may create chat rooms. Room creators are responsible for their rooms and can kick other users. User-created rooms expire after 24 hours of inactivity. ASL-Chat reserves the right to remove any room at its discretion.
Blocking and Reporting
Users can block other users to hide their messages. Users can report others for spam, harassment, or inappropriate content. Accumulating multiple reports may result in verification challenges or account restrictions.
No Warranty
ASL-Chat is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted access to the platform. Chat messages are ephemeral and may be lost at any time.
Limitation of Liability
ASL-Chat is not liable for any damages arising from the use of the platform, including but not limited to content posted by other users, AI bot responses, or service interruptions.
Section 230
ASL-Chat operates as an interactive computer service under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. We are not the publisher or speaker of user-generated content.
Account Termination
ASL-Chat reserves the right to restrict or terminate access for any user at any time, for any reason, without notice.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
